The Skinny

In The Clutch is devoted to bringing you, the reader, that one thing that you’ve been waiting for all your life: our own unbridled brand of unique sports commentary. Sometimes we’ll be serious about what we write. Other times we’ll wow you with our comic genius. You probably won’t be able to tell the difference. We can only guarantee one thing: you’ll always read sports. The writers don’t have any credentials. We’re just normal people with a normal, healthy, fanatical obsession with sports that dominates every aspect of our lives, with just enough of an egotistical streak to assume that you all want to know exactly what we have to say on our favorite topic.

The Writers:

Warren Sampson

Josh Millan is co-founder and contributor to In The Clutch. Josh has been watching sports ever since his daddy stuck him in front of a NASCAR race on TV. While Josh has since moved on from his redneck past, he still continues to sit in front of a TV with some sort of sports programming on. Sports takes up approximately 23 hours of his day, with the remaining hour devoted to eating all three meals, social interaction, and finishing his education.

Dan Whitney is a main person in town. A lot of people look to him to see what he is doing. There are people like him in every city on earth. He is one of them. There is no plan, there is no assignment. It’s personality-based. His personality is that he does what he likes and people with less personality or confidence can observe him and see that a confident person is doing a certain thing. They can then act like him in order to create safety.

Have something important to say to the writers? Have something entirely unimportant to say to the writers? Want to let them know what you think but you’re too fearful of the internet ridicule to leave a comment?  Have a story you would like published on In The Clutch?  Then shoot an e-mail to intheclutch@inbox.com.
